Afghanistan with Adam Curtis

Film-maker Adam Curtis asked me to interpret a series of stories he'd been compiling based around events in Afghanistan. I proceeded to plot each character's story as different intersecting narrative strands. A structure is revealed in which people, groups and events influence each other and are set on varying courses in history. This would eventually take the form of an app whereby the infographic could be used as a means to explore and negotiate content.

Adam wanted to produce the product as a Kindle Fire app and was particularly interested in exploring how interactive technology can be used to tell new stories.

The final story became navigable via a timeline consisting of events spanning the entirety of his Afghanistan series of blog posts.
